Team Stirista: Kiran Kumar
This month’s Team Stirista spotlight features Kiran Kumar, our iOS App Developer, based in our India office. Let’s learn more about Kiran.
Tell us about your overall responsibilities at Stirista and what you do on an average workday.
My work at Stirista is handling mobile platform projects and web API support. Also, I work on PushWizard for both the mobile and web platforms. I also work on getting products to market with some existing features and modules.
What do you like best about working at Stirista?
The best thing I like about working at Stirista is the management and the people around me. The Director at the Stirista India office, the managers at the U.S. office and the CEO all provide support and encouragement. What I get from them is wonderful. They give me time to manage projects with reasonable deadlines whenever possible.
What excites you most about your job?
The most exciting thing about the job is learning new things and interacting with clients. I also work on ticketing issues and resolving them. I also experience new challenges when working with different technologies. These experiences make me more confident, and the support I get from my manager is the best thing.
Tell us about your background. What did you do before coming to Stirista?
I graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in IT. I joined Stirista in 2017, and before coming to Stirista, I worked for a couple of organizations for whom I developed many apps, many of which are used across the globe today. My passion is developing iOS apps with different domains.
Tell us something we don’t know about you or something that others might be surprised to learn.
Ah, I’m a good dancer and wanted to become a dancer in the film industry. Also, I have a passion for and am a good badminton player who has played in many different tournaments.
What advice would you give to someone interested in your job?
The upcoming generation has a lot to learn. On the technology side, mobile platforms are growing quickly around the globe. And there are many domains and languages to learn. Also, do not stick to a single technology, be open to learning new things, and explore the world.
