Marketing Coordinator — Automation Specialist

This position is for someone who is interested in slicing and dicing data meaningfully but isn’t afraid of some human communication either. The Marketing Coordinator will serve a vital function at Stirista, as their job will be to maximize the efficiency of the Marketing Automation software, the data inside it, and how we use it to improve to acquire, animate, and retain customers while simultaneously supporting with valuable Market Research and Competitive Analysis insights to help inform strategy. 

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience working within a Marketing team and is capable of supporting Sales and Research as well. Strong Project Management and organizational skills as well as familiarity with Marketing Automation software is preferred but training will be made available for the right candidate. 

First and foremost, the Marketing Automation Specialist must be proficient in using marketing automation software. While there are a number of platforms on the market, here are some commonly used ones:

  • Pardot
  • Sharpspring
  • HubSpot 
  • Salesforce

Tasks may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Establishing workflows and standards or entering data in the CRM
  • Spotting ways to improve usage of the CRM through automating lead nurturing lifecycle campaigns 
  • Customizing and pulling marketing reports from the CRM
  • Analyzing the marketing reports to determine what kind of customer trends the business should respond to
  • Writing training protocols and teaching staff on how to use the CRM
  • Meeting with teams to help them analyze business trends

The Marketing Automation Specialist must have the following skills:

  • Technical expertise in the marketing automation software
  • Ability to help figure out how to better integrate data with internal legacy platforms
  • The skill to resolve technical issues, including responding to sales team customization requests
  • Organizational skills, which help the Specialist juggle competing demands from marketing, sales, customers, and management
  • Collaboration and patience to serve as the bridge between marketing and sales
  • Strong writing skills to communicate with internal partners or even to write technical training manuals for end users
  • Attention to detail, to manage the integrity of the CRM data
  • Ability to discern meaning from patterns and spot trends from data
  • Good problem-solving abilities and excellent communication

In addition to being expert in the software, the Specialist should have proficiency in the Microsoft Office and Google Apps suites. 

With many members of the organization working remotely, the Specialist should also be able to use communications technology such as Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, etc to share information with these teams seamlessly. 

This position will report to the Director, Content and Social Media.
