A local data-focused marketing firm has moved to its new office, motivated by its plans to continue expanding in San Antonio’s growing tech industry.

Stirista celebrated the opening of its new office space on March 3 at The Terrace at Concord Park in Stone Oak, an area that has seen other tech companies relocate to over the past few months.

Stirista is a marketing technology company that specializes in acquiring email and streaming television advertising for clients in multiple industries. Founded by CEO Ajay Gupta in 2010, It offers services such as data enhancement, verification, and targeted marketing solutions.

“We have a lot of tools and platforms we have built to help agencies and marketing departments use Stirista. So for example, we have a tool to buy media online, which means that if you’re trying to buy ads on CNN or Google, you can use our platform to buy media from it,” Gupta explained.

The move was prompted by one main goal for Stirista — expansion.

Gupta explained that relocating to the 8,000-square-foot space aligns with the firm’s plans to expand its staff, something the larger space will now be able to support.

Stirista currently has about 180 employees, with 60 being full-time, and hopes to add 40 to 50 more people to fill the new space.

As a winner in the Business Journal’s 2024 Fast Track awards, Stirista has made five acquisitions since 2020, and plans to begin consolidating some of its acquisitions in San Antonio, according to Gupta.

“That might be part of our initiative to see if we can get some of the people or companies we acquire to relocate,” he said.

Gupta also said the firm’s relocation is crucial for the growth of the technology industry in San Antonio.

He explained that although the tech industry here is often overshadowed by Austin’s, he believes the talent pool in San Antonio is significant because of the smaller number of tech companies — an indication the tech industry is just beginning its growth here.

“Overall, it’s probably the most exciting time for tech in San Antonio,” he said.
